Union of Health Work Committees (UHWC) inaugurated a training of Facilitators at Al Assria Community Center to prepare 21 facilitators from some of UHWC employees and trainers at UHWC Community centers, aiming at building their capacity to work with children from 4 – 13 years in addition to enhancing quality of educational and health services provided to children from 4-13 years, through the activities of Community Health Communication and Advocacy Program(CHCAP).
UHWC Deputy Executive Director/ Raafat Al Majdalawi, Al Luhiedan Health and Community Center Director/ Dr. Abdel Hakeem Lahham, Community Centers coordinator / Suhail Al Tanani and Al Assria Center Coordinator/ Aaed Barakat opened the training, where Al Majdalawi ensured in his speech the importance of the role of youth in building their communities. He also added that this training aims to building their characters and prepare them to the labor market to serve the surrounding community.
Where Al Tanani pointed to the importance of this training in developing the attitude of UHWC health educators, and this theoretical aspect of training will last for 7 days with 4 training hours and will be followed by 4 months practical training, where after the trainer will be able to compete in the labor market and is provided with the skills and knowledge to be able to deal with children from 4-13 years in many topics related to health.
Union of Health Work Committees ensures the importance of integrating youth in the local community institutions through providing them with the skills, knowledge and the required trainings that will enable them later on to compete in the labor market beside building their characters to make the needed positive change in the community.
