UHWC organizes a charitable Iftar to support the Needy Patient Fund

Union of Health Work Committees (UHWC) organized a charitable Iftar yesterday 7th July 2015, to support the needy patient support Fund at Al Awda Hospital in the presence of community figures, Businessmen, Pharmaceutical companies owners and private companies owners, and from the Chamber of Commerce in Gaza, in addition to the friends and supporters of UHWC though its 30 years of giving and helping people.

UHWC Executive Director / Dr. Tayseer Al Sultan started the event welcoming all audience and thanked them for accepting the invitation, and then he mentioned that all collected money will go directly to support the needy patient support fund through which health services will be provided to support the needy people of Gaza through Al Awda Hospital.

Where after one of the founder of UHWC /Dr. Rabah Muhanna, insured that the idea of the needy patient support fund is a noble idea, and UHWC previously supported the needy patient fund, and this gathering “Iftar” is to renew and revive the idea, which aims to eliminate the suffering of the needy and marginalized people in Gaza especially in light of the difficult economic circumstances the Palestinian people are going through. Dr. Muhanna called all institutions, local companies and business to support this Nobel humanitarian idea. .

Where after, UHWC started to collect donations from the audience, and from the principle of transparency between UHWC and its partners and supporters, UHWC will provide the donors with lists of needy patients that have been underwent surgical operations, along with the type of the surgical operation and its cost, then Dr. Muhanna promised to continue collecting donations to support the poor and needy patients whom are in very bad need of help especially in terms of medical help.

At the end of the event, Dr. Muhanna thanked all UHWC employees at all health, community, cultural centers and Al Awda hospital, he also thanked all audience for accepting the invitation and for their generous donation to support the needy patient support fund, where after he noted that UHWC is expecting to receive An Australian Medical Delegation at the end of this month to conduct complicated urological surgical operation to children of Gaza.

Its worthy to note that during a month of lunching the campaign of supporting the needy patient support fund, UHWC collected 135,000 NIS , the donated amount of money will go directly to support the Needy Patient Support Fund.
